Happy ending lost dog tales!
My sweet rescue dog Spot went missing in Alexandria, VA on 1/15/2010, Friday night around 9 PM. He was on the run trying to find his way home for 6 days. He is small and is now a little smaller; he was scared, hungry and exhausted and he is now... HOME!!!

- Blue Heeler / Boston Terrier mix
- looks like a miniature Australian Cattle Dog
- black & white fur with a smooth, medium length coat
- white legs with black spots
- black floppy ears
- no tail
- a long nose
- one foot tall, 15 lbs
- male, age 18 mo; has lived with me since he was 4 mo old
- had a hard life until he was rescued by me
- microchipped; not wearing a collar when he went missing
- favorite food - chicken!
- timid with people but very playful with other dogs; has lots of dog park experience!
- also leaves behind Rainer, a 9 year old boxer
- lives behind the Masonic Temple; went missing from Parkfairfax

Marianne, very sorry to hear Spot is missing.
I wanted to as, what part of Alexandria was he last see in? Does he go to dog parks? Which ones? Does he have any neighbors that he is accustomed to visiting with you? What part of town?
Many dogs are found through lists like the ones you've posted to. Anything is possible - maintain hope!
